Information

  • Here, changes can be made to particular customizing settings of a module and of customized variants of this module.
    • Changes to standard module variants are not possible without further ado. If you wish to do this anyway, you have to individualize the respective general module variant, make the required changes, and reset the module variant to general module variant. Further information...
    • The relation module and the module variant are displayed in the module title.
      • The reference module is the module from which the Option Module is opened.

Procedure for the basic variant of a module

  • Open the required module.
  • Extras → Option Module for MV.
  • Make the required changes.
  • Close the Option Module for MV.
  • Click on the Save module customizing button in the toolbar of the module.
  • Select the Save in the base variant option in the displayed message.

Procedure for further module variants

  • Open the required module.
  • Switch to the module variant to be changed.
  • Extras → open the Option Module for MV.
  • Make the required changes.
  • Close the Option Module for MV.
  • Click on the save symbol in the module variant listbox in the toolbar.

Details

  • You have the option to restrict the data output by setting filter criteria in the Option Module for MV reference module.
  • The functionality is analogous to that in the Filter Criteria module, with the difference that changes can be saved in the Option Module for MV module if required.

Note

  • For module variants, not all parameters of the Option Module for MV module are supported.
    • If parameters are changed that are not supported by the program, users who open the respective module variant see the following message: IE: (MV creation/application/saving) "xyz" uses these unsupported DIs:DIxxxxxx
      • The DI at the end of the message specifies the parameter in question.
      • The entry in parenthesis specifies when the message is displayed:
        • creation: the message is displayed when creating a module variant
        • application: the message is displayed when switching to the respective module variant (when it is opened)
        • saving: the message is displayed when trying to save in the module variant.
