Information

  • Deletion takes effect without saving.
  • Whether deletion is generally possible and in which data areas you can perform deletion depends on the module customizing.

Deletion of values in individual data fields

  • Activate the required data field.
  • Delete the value.
  • Save.

Deletion of entire records

  • Mark the required record and either click on the Delete button in the toolbar or select the Delete command in the context menu. If you only want to delete one record you can do this via the context menu without actively marking. In that case, however, the record is automatically marked after you have selected the context menu command.
  • Afterwards, the following message is displayed: Delete marked data?
    • If you confirm this messages with Yes, the record is deleted.
    • If the message is answered with No, the deletion procedure is aborted.
  • If the record to be deleted contains dependent (child) data, they will (depending on the specifications made by the customizer)
    • either be included in the deletion without query.
    • or with a query in which information on the objects which are included in the deletion is displayed.
      • If this messages is answered with Yes, the parent record is deleted with all of its child records.
      • If the message is answered with No, the deletion procedure is aborted.
  • If records to be deleted or their dependent records contain actual postings, e.g. hours worked which are already recorded, the following message is displayed in addition: Actual postings available. Do you want to delete anyway?
    • If this messages is confirmed with Yes, the parent record is deleted with all of its dependent data and actual postings.
    • If the message is answered with No, the deletion procedure is aborted.
      • Caution: by clicking on No you only confirm the current posting record.. If there are several posting records, you have to confirm each record with No.

Notes

  • You can remove invalid records as described above. They are not actually deleted since they are not yet stored in the database.
  • If deletion is not allowed in the present module, both menu items and the respective button in the toolbar and context menu command are deactivated (grayed-out). If the Delete function has been completely deactivated for the module by the customizer, the Delete context menu command does not exist in the context menu.
