Information

  • This module provides the option to create controlling status reports for single projects or several projects at once.

Controlling status reports are reports which show the project status up to the defined date in contrast to the regular status reports, which show the project status up to the date of report creation. As a result, the actual values after the key date in a controlling status report will be excluded and the remaining values will be adjusted respectively.

 Technical background

  • When it comes to data, a controlling report is identical to a regular status report with the following distinctions:
    • Controlling status report checkbox on report level is set for controlling reports
    • Actual and remaining values for controlling status reports are adjusted on load level by converting actual values which lie after the key date into remaining values. The summarization of the new values from load level to resource, task, and project level thus results in a display on these levels which also deviates from the display of regular status reports.

Create Controlling Status Reports

Procedure

  • Enter the required key date in the Period to field.
  • Activate the Select checkbox for which you want to create controlling status reports.
  • Click on the Create status reports button

Details

  • The creation of several controlling status reports is done successively in piles.
  • The controlling status reports are displayed sorted by the key date of the report, regardless of the sequence of creation.

Note

  • The date specification in the Period up to field must not be in the future.
  • A controlling status report is always released implicitly by the system upon its creation. You cannot cancel the release for a controlling status report.
