Where can I see/evaluate the project progress?

In the Progress module of the required project

You can open the project a) by opening a dialog window via the Extras → Go to menu or via CTRL + G and entering the ID of the required project or b) by clicking on the link on the ID of the required project in any module. Subsequently, click on the Further module tab and then on the Progress link.

Who is allowed to see/evaluate the project progress?

All users who have access to the Progress module can see the project progress. In order to edit particular data, you need modification rights for projects. These are, in PLANTA standard, managers of the respective project, their deputies, or multi-project managers. For further information on rights, please click here.

Details

  • In the Progress module, the degree of completion of the project work (effort) is monitored and evaluated.
  • In the Used column, the project manager can see the calculated degree of completion in percent per task. As a result, the project manager can quickly figure out the status of project processing without considering the exact figures.
  • In the Completed column, the project manager can manually enter the functional degree of completion per task. The functional degree of completion will then be compared to the calculated Used value and be marked by a red, yellow, or green traffic light.
  • Furthermore, the forecasts on additional effort issued by project team members will be displayed for each task in the Forecast column of this module. The project manager can adopt the values directly in his planning in order to adjust ist or make a decision on the required measures.
  • The project manager has already been informed on the existence of additional effort in his/her/ My Planning Objects overview module. In the Forecast column, a number will be displayed as soon as forecasts on additional effort are available. By clicking on the link on the number, the project manager can switch directly to the Progress module and view the details.
