to import a project structure for the selected project from an external system (currently SAP) via PLANTA link and possibly edit it, or
to manually create an SAP project structure or another alternative project structure or
to create account assignment elements and link them to SAP elements in order for the costs summarized to account assignment elements to be displayed on SAP WBS elements.
Details
The SAP project structure created or imported here (or an alternative structure) can be linked to the PLANTA project structure in the SAP-WBS or Schedule user modules in order to
either export the effort and costs planned in PLANTA project to the SAP system in line with the SAP project structure
or, in case costs and effort have been imported from the SAP system, to compare them to PLANTA effort/costs.
Note
Usually, the SAP WBS structure is imported to PLANTA including the already assigned account assignment elements.
The account assignment elements are required since they serve to import and export costs/effort and budgets from SAP to PLANTA project and vice versa.
ID of the account assignment elements equates to the ID of the cost type or cost center from which the costs or effort stem. If no account assignment elements exist on costs/effort, it is not summarized to the SAP WBS elements accordingly.
