Information

  • In the calculation of the schedule of a project, the dates of the entire project and those of individual tasks will be calculated and displayed based on specified dates, taking different planning parameters and set links into account. If resources have already been planned including their effort, the resource loads will also be calculated on a daily basis based on their specified availability or further resource parameters and resource dates will be calculated.

Where can I calculate the schedule of a project?

In the Schedule, WBS, Resource Plan, Progress modules of the required project

You can open the project a) by opening a dialog window via the Extras → Go to menu or via CTRL + G and entering the ID of the required project or b) by clicking on the link on the ID of the required project in any module. Subsequently, click on the module tab of the required module.

Who is allowed to calculate the schedule of a project?

All users who have access to the modules mentioned above and have modification rights for projects. These are, in PLANTA standard, managers of the respective project, their deputies, or multi-project managers. For further information on rights, please click here.

Procedure

  • After completion of your planning or modification of the planning or of particular parameters, click on the Calculate schedule symbol in the menu bar of the Schedule module of the required project.

Notes

  • In PLANTA project it is also possible to calculate schedules of all projects at once, whereby this function is only available to users with multi-project manager rights.
