  • Below you will find a description of how employees can enter their own absence and vacation and have a look at the absence in departments in PLANTA project.
  • Days of vacation or absence must be entered so that they are taken into account when calculating project dates and resource capacities.

Note

  •  PLANTA project does not set rules on how vacation or other absence is to be requested or approved. Please stick to the processes applicable to your company.

Record and Manage Own Vacation or Absence

Where can vacation and absence be recorded and administrated?

In the Absence module. It can be found in the Employee Board module panel which in PLANTA standard is contained in the user menu of the Employee role.

 Enter vacation or own absence

  • Select the appropriate entry for the required date from the listbox in the Absence module in the yearly calendar:
    • Vacation
    • 1/2 day of vacation
    • Absence
    • 1/2 day absence
  • Enter a comment if required:
    • Right-click on the required date.
    • Select the Show → Comment context menu command.
    • Write a comment in the Comment field.
  • Save.

 Note

  • The days for which vacation or absence has been entered will be highlighted in color:
    • Vacation - orange
    • Absence - green
  • As soon as the entries have been saved, vacation and absence entries will also be displayed in the Absence of the department and Weekly Calendar modules.

Where can I have a look at vacation and absence of employees of the department?

In the Absence of the department module. It can be found in the Employee Board module panel which in PLANTA standard is contained in the user menu of the Employee role.

 Information

  • In this module, absence and vacation of all resources of the department to which the current employee belongs are displayed.
    • In the left window, all department resources are listed.
    • In the right window below the time scale, the entered vacation or absence data is displayed per day,
      • by colored highlighting: vacation - orange, absence - green, and in addition
      • by having the values of 0.5 or 1 displayed for half a day or an entire day of vacation or absence.
