Include Planning Objects in Portfolio

Where can I include planning objects in a portfolio?

In the Portfolio Core Data module of the required portfolio.

Open the portfolio by clicking on the Multi-Portfolio Board link in the user menu of the Portfolio manager role and clicking on the link on the ID of the portfolio in the Portfolios module which will be opened. Subsequently switch to the Portfolio Core Data module tab in the opened portfolio.

Who is allowed to include planning objects in a portfolio?

All users who have access to the Portfolio Core Data module and modification rights for portfolios. In PLANTA standard these are managers of the respective portfolio and  multi-portfolio managers. For information on user rights, please click here.

Assign a Planning Object to the Portfolio

Procedure

• Please click on the Assign planning object(s) button in the Portfolio Core Data module.
• The Assign Planning Objects to the Portfolio module will be opened.
• Activate the checkboxes of the planning objects which you want to include in the portfolio.
• Click on the Assign selected objects button.
• Save.

Details

• The planning objects in the Assign Planning Objects to the Portfolio module are divided into two areas:
  
  • Planning objects without portfolio assignment - already contained in another portfolio
  • Planning objects without portfolio assignment- ot contained in any portfolio
• It is generally possible to include a planning object in multiple portfolios at the same time, however, this may impair the impair portfolio budget calculation. PLANTA therefore recommends that you assign a planning object to one portfolio only.
