Access

  • You can access the Object Filter module from several modules of the Multi-project board panel and all modules of the Cost overviews panel by clicking on the Edit filter button.

Information

  • In the present module, object filters can be edited and new filters can be created.

Details

  • Object filters are a function which allows you to create user-specific extended filters with different selection criteria for planning objects, to save them and use them in different modules. Such object filters are then exclusively available to the user who has created them.
  • Filtering with filter criteria again is module specific. Filter criteria must only be saved if they are to be used in this form for all users.

Edit Object Filter

Procedure

  • Select the required area from the listbox in the Filter field.
    • Change filter criteria as required or
    • You can insert further criteria by clicking on the Insert filter criteria button.
  • After you have clicked on the Save button, the Object Filter module is closed and in the source module it is filtered in accordance with the filter criteria set in the object filter..

Create New Object Filters

Procedure

  • Enter filter name. The number in the Filter field is generated automatically.
  • In the From and To fields you can define date attributes.
  • Further attributes are defined by clicking on the Insert filter criteria button and selecting the Attribute name and the Filter criterion.
  • After you have clicked on the Save button, the newly defined object filter will immediately be applied to the source module.

Note

  • For attributes which contain structured values you can define filter criteria with a joker.
    • For the Cost center attribute you can, e.g., use filter criterion "1*".

Mark Filter as a Favorite

Information

  • If you want a particular object filter to always be loaded and applied to the respective modules by default, you have the option to mark this object filter as a favorite. This setting only takes effect after relogin, i.e. if a different object filter is selected in a module in the course of a session, it will remain active after restarting the module.

Procedure

  • Select the required object filter.
  • Activate the Favorite checkbox.
  • Save.

Delete Object Filter

Procedure

  • Select the required object filter.
  • Mark the entire record with CTRL+A.
  • Click on the Delete button in the toolbar.

Apply Object Filter

Procedure

  • Select the required object filter from the listbox in the Filter field in the required module with the object filter function.
  • Click on the Apply changes button.
  • The selected object filter is applied and only planning objects which meet the filter criteria defined in the object filter are displayed in the module.
    • If filter criteria are set incorrectly or if there are no planning objects which meet the filter criteria of the selected object filter, a respective message is output.

Note

  • If you use a particular filter in a module with object filter and subsequently switch to another module with object filter, the filter from the previous module also takes effect in the newly opened module.

Add Individual Object Filter Attributes

Procedure

  • The Attribute listbox can only be extended by further attributes by users with customizer rights.
  • The DIs corresponding to the attributes listed here, are contained in data area 045506 of module 009ADG.
    • This data area must simply be extended by the required DIs.
