Information
- In the Cycle Search module, all projects with network cycles will be displayed.
A network cycle occurs when no last task can be found within a network cycle in the calculation of a schedule.
- If scheduling detects a cycle, the Network cycle found: xyz (technical ID: xyz) message will be displayed and for the project in question, the Network cycle checkbox will be activated and for all concerned tasks of the project, the Task with cycle checkbox will be activated, the tasks will be highlighted in color (marked red) and the scheduling will be aborted for this project.
- If several projects are scheduled, e.g. in the course of a Replanning or in the case of structured projects, scheduling is canceled (with a message) only for the project in which a network cycle was found. After confirmation of the message, the scheduling of the remaining projects is finished.
Details
- Network cycles must be fixed by correcting the links in the Schedule module.
Note
- Possible constellations which give rise to a network cycle:
- e.g. links from TA1 to TA2, from TA2 to TA3, from TA3 to TA1
- Links between summary and child tasks are not considered in scheduling, so that no network cycle occurs.
