Specific System Requirements

• Before updating to DB 39.5.22 under Oracle you have to grant access to DBMS_CRYPTO: GRANT EXECUTE ON SYS.DBMS_CRYPTO TO <user>
• When updating from DB 39.5.19 - DB 39.5.21 to DB 39.5.22 under Oracle you have to check that the ICOU was executed correctly during previous updates.

    • Since S 39.6.36 the installer checks for oracle systems whether the access to DBMS_CRYPTO has been granted (see above). The update will not be started if there is no access.
    • If the access was already missing during previous updates, the ICOU was not executed correctly.
      • If this is the case, the migration package ApplyInCaseOfUpdate failed.
    • Before updating to DB 39.5.22 under Oracle it is therefore necessary to check that ApplyInCaseOfUpdate ran correctly during previous updates.
    • If it failed the reference tables in the system need to be swapped before the update.
      1. Access the Transfer-Server under Aktuelle Releases > 39.5.x > Datenbank > ICOU Referenzstände, download the reference for the DB version from which you are updating and save it on the server.
      2. Open the Import Reference module (009D18), add the path to the zip file and import.
      3. After the import, close the system and continue the update normally with the installer.
         • Do NOT click the Find adjustment button! This step will be executed during the update.
• Since release DB 39.5.17, PLANTA offers a new Online Help. If you update from a release < DB 39.5.17 and want to continue to use context sensitive help directly from within your system (F1/F2), you have to make sure that the PLANTA project application server has access to help.planta.de (IP address: 3.65.222.100).

Notes on update sources and component dependencies

• A direct update to version DB 39.5.22 is possible from source versions DB 39.5.14 or higher. If you use an earlier version, you first have to update to version DB 39.5.14 and subsequently to version DB 39.5.22. 
• For an update to database DB 39.5.22, it is absolutely essential that you also update the server to version S 39.5.36 and the client to version C 39.5.33.3.
• If you work with hybrid PLANTA systems, please note that PLANTA project version 39.5.22 requires at least PLANTA pulse version 41.6.
