Access

  • Customizer → Translations → Module-Related Translation
  • Tools menu item → Open translation module → confirm the Open translation module? dialog message → Module-Related Translation
  • CTRL + U on a DI to be translated in the program → Confirm the Open translation module? dialog message → Module-Related Translation

Information

  • In the Module-Related Translation module, individual user modules can be translated context-related.

Note

  • In order to work with this translation module, you have to set PLANTA project to the respective target language required by the translating user.
  • Depending on the access path, it is either possible to translate customer individual modules only, or to also translate PLANTA Standard modules.

Access via Shortcut or Menu Items

Information

  • Both customer-specific modules and PLANTA Standard modules can be opened and translated via shortcuts or menu items.

Procedure

  • Change the language for the translating user in the Language field in the Users module to the target language.
  • Log on with the user.
  • Open the module to be translated.
  • Activate an arbitrary field.
  • Press CTRL + U.
  • A dialog message will be displayed, asking whether the translation module is to be opened.
  • Confirm this message with Yes.
  • The translation module will be opened.
  • For the sake of clarity, I-texts of different module levels are displayed according to the module structure.
    • Module (module name, hotkey, panel name)
      • Data area (data area name, context menu text)
        • Data field (data field name, tooltip, print text)
    • Module variants (module variants name)
  • The source language texts are displayed in red, the target language texts are displayed in black.
  • The previously activated field is marked blue and the respective data area(s) in which the field occurs is/are opened.
  • Enter the translation.
  • Save.
  • After a module has been translated completely, the Translated checkbox can be activated.

Access via User Menu

Information

  • If the translation module is opened via the user menu, only customer individual modules (filtering by @3 on the Owner license field) are available for translation.

Procedure

  • Change the user language to the target language of the translation in the Language field in the Users module.
  • Log on with the user.
  • Customizer → Translations→ Module-Related Translation.
  • By clicking on a button, the user modules the module titles of which start with the same letter as that of the button clicked on will be displayed for translation.
  • Open the tree structure of the required module completely.
    • The structure is the same as when calling via shortcuts or menu items.
  • Translate all I-texts or the required positions.
  • Save.

Note

  • The search for particular modules to be translated can also be done via the filter criteria.
