Change Person ID MOD000365

Access

• PM Administration → Master Data → Users, Roles, Resources → Persons → Click on the data record of the desired person and select the context menu command Change Person ID → Change Person ID (movable module window at the bottom of the panel)

Information

• In this module, person IDs can be changed system wide.

Procedure

• Enter the new person ID in the New ID field.

• Now, you have the option to

  • either carry out the ID change immediately

    • To do so, click on the Start button.

  • or have a preview displayed first and then carry out the change.

    • To do so, click on the Preview button.

      • All data tables of the PLANTA project database are displayed, and the number of records to be changed in the respective table is displayed opposite of each table.

      • After you have checked the preview in the preview field, click on the Start ID button.

• Subsequently, the list of data tables is displayed again with a specification of the number of changed records per table.

Details

• The ID (code) of the person is changed in both the master data and all person assignments of the entire PLANTA project database.

• The auto commit to the database is automatically switched on and off during the change process.

Individual Adjustment by Customizing

Procedure

• In order to include further data tables/data items in the person ID change, you have to make the following adjustments:

  • Open the current module 000365 Change person ID in the customizer.

  • Open data area 000468.

  • Open data field configuration of data field 101039.

  • Extend the existing data field configuration by the required data tables/data items

    • They must be created as a new line according to the <DT-ID> <DI-IDs> schema (see existing entries)

      • Here you have to make sure not to insert unnecessary line breaks and to stay within the triple quotation marks.
