Information

  • The management has the option to use PLANTA project via web client. I.e., the software can be opened from any location via the browser, provided that there is an internet connection. 
  • At the moment two roles are available in the web client: 
    • A new management role adapted to the web client (demo user R45) with overview modules especially designed for the web client which provide a quick overview of the status of the company's projects.
    • The standard portfolio role (demo user R70) with the same modules as in the desktop client.
  • The web client will progressively be made available to other user groups as well.

  • Attention: The PLANTA Web Client is optimized for use with the Chrome browser.

Portfolio Management Role

  • The portfolio management role (R70) in the web client is based on the same modules as the portfolio management role in the desktop client. For an overview of the modules with links to the corresponding descriptions, please click here.
  • Some functions, such as PDF export, PPT or direct links to the planning objects contained in the portfolio, are currently not yet available in the web client. If you attempt to execute one of these functions, the user is informed on this by a corresponding message and offered the option to switch to the desktop client to use this function. If the query is answered with Yes, the system switches to the corresponding position in the desktop client.

Menus and Menu Items

Information

  • The menus and menu items of the web client differ slightly from those of the desktop client.
    • The entries of the menu bar of the desktop clients are located in a new menu in the web client. The menu is opened via the  symbol at the top margin of your display.
    • The menu items available in the web client are the same as in the desktop client, they only differ in their number and arrangement.
      • Special case: The Home menu item in the web client has a special behavior. Further information
    • The web client menu items are managed through their own menu item role. If it is not assigned to the web client user by the administrator, the user will see the desktop menu items in the web client. The user will be informed on this by a corresponding message upon login.
