Access

  • Tools menu item → Python → Python Performance Profiler
  • F10

Note

  • This dialog module replaces the previous profiling dialog.

Information

  • In the Configuration area, the measuring type can be configured via the Python Profiling and Performance Counting checkboxes.
  • In the Data fields area, a data field can be selected, the interaction of which is to be measured.
    • Here, only measurable data fields from the area of the focused record are displayed.
  • In the Open module area, a module ID can be entered in order to measure the opening process of this module. To do so, click on the link in the Module field next to the module ID.
    • Before the module is opened, the list variables that are to be set when it is opened can be entered in a dialog.
    • The list variables are simply entered in the input field of the dialog message like a Python dictionary.
      • Example: {4: ['4711', '7000'], 7: []}
  • The results can be evaluated in the Performance History Evaluation and Python Profiler modules.

Details

  • If a measuring has been run with activated Python Profiling, a dialog message with the following options is opened subsequently:
    • Quick Analysis: The profiling result is displayed in a dialog message.
    • Write measuring in file: A Save as dialog is displayed via which you can save the result as a file.
    • Analyze measuring in PLANTA: The result is saved in PLANTA project. Furthermore, the Python Profiler module is opened, in which data can be viewed and analyzed.
