I-Text Translation Q2B MOD009ATY

Access

Information

  • This module serves to translate customer individual I-texts in database schema Q2B.

Notes

  • The translation of PLANTA standard I-texts is not possible with this module. The module filters by @3 on the Owner license field.

Before Translation

Information

  • I-texts must be adjusted before every translation.
    • Upon adjustment, empty records are created in the target language for the new I-texts of the source language.

Note

  • An adjustment is not necessary if you do not enter any new translations, but only want to check or change existing translations.

Adjust I-Text

Procedure

  • Select the language into which you want to translate from the Target language listbox.
  • Click on the Adjust button.
  • A dialog message with the query whether the adjustment of the I-texts is to be carried out in the respective database schema for the selected language is displayed.
  • Confirm this message with Yes.
  • If the adjustment has been carried out, a dialog message is displayed, indicating that the adjustment of the I-texts is to be carried out in the respective database schema for the selected language.
  • Confirm this message with OK.

Translations

Procedure

  • After you have carried out the two steps described above, you can start translating. To do so,
    • select the target language into which you want to translate from the Target language listbox at the very top of the filter area (if the adjustment has run through, this field is already filled with the correct language).
    • enter the term (to be translated) in the Source text from field.
      • If a term is embedded in ** (e.g. *project*), all records that contain this term are searched.
      • If a term is not embedded in **, it is only searched for this very term.
    • Click on the Filter button.
    • Enter the probability in the Target text field.
    • Save.

Details

  • After confirming the Filter button, the Source text to field is automatically filled with the term from the Source text field.
    • When you perform a new search, the Source text to field must be emptied, otherwise the term to be searched for will not be found.
  • The search can be restricted with the help of the DT (data table) or DI (data item) data fields.
    • If the fields are filled, the system will only search for the corresponding I-texts.
  • For the I-text of DT447 and DT454 Listbox values, the corresponding listbox category, in which all values are displayed, can be opened by right-clicking and selecting the Open listbox category context menu command in which all values are displayed.
