Introduction: PLANTA Desktop vs. Web

Information

• PLANTA software is available in two versions: the desktop version and the web version. Both variants offer you comprehensive functions to complete your tasks efficiently, but differ in their use and the benefits that come with it.

  • The desktop version is installed directly on your computer and is particularly suitable for processing large amounts of data or for more complex tasks.

  • The web version on the other hand enables access to our software via your web browser. This offers the benefit of flexibility: You can work from different devices and locations without having to install anything.

    • The web version is currently available with a slightly reduced range of functions. Some particular functions can therefore only be used to a limited extent. Please note our Limitation information or contact your PLANTA consultant.

      • The menus and menu items of the web client differ slightly from those of the desktop client.

      • The PLANTA Web version has been optimized for use with the Chrome browser. However, it can be used with all common browsers.
