Overview: Plan and Calculate Effort

Information

Below you will find a brief tabular overview of the effort parameters for different project levels:
- Project level (PR),
- Task level (TA),
- Resource assignment level / Level of assignment of resources to a task (TAR)
- Load level / Level on which the effort of the resource is distributed to individual days (LOAD)
This overview also provides a description of the behavior in both initial planning and calculation of already running projects.

Remaining	Remaining value	Manual input in the resource assignment and subsequently automatic summarization of the value from the resource assignment to the task and then to the project. automatic distribution of the value from the resource assignment to days at load level in accordance with the set load profile. Exception: When you use the MAN load profile, the remaining values are entered at load level and are then summarized to resource assignment → task → project.	Calculation via scheduling: Initial remaining value minus already recorded actual value or Manual input (if, e.g., the forecast value is adopted in the remaining field. Planned	Initially planned value This value is hidden in modules by default but the user can unhide it if required.	Automatic calculation: Planned = remaining If Remaining is changed, Planned will automatically be changed accordingly.	Planned = Remaining up to the point where an actual start date is set. From there on unchanged.
