Compare Planning Statuses

Where can I compare different project statuses?

In the Deviations module of the required project (the Deviations module can be found under the Further... module tab).

Open the project by

• opening a dialog window via the Extras → Go to menu or via CTRL+G and entering the ID of the required project or

• by clicking on the link on the ID of the required project in any module.

Who is allowed to compare project statuses?

All users who have access to the Deviations module. In the module, no data can be edited. It is therefore irrelevant whether one has access rights or modification rights for the project.

Details

• In the Deviations module, the current project status can be compared to the status of already existing project status reports. Here, the data of the most important factors will be compared. Dates, effort, and costs.

• The Dashboard module also provides an option to compare statuses, however, in a more restricted way compared to the Deviations module. Costs and effort can only be compared to the last status report. In the Dates area, only master milestones of the current planning are compared to the last report and to the baseline. This module is suitable for the fast tracking of deviations in daily monitoring, whereas the Deviations module offers more complex analyses and provides a graphical representation of date deviation in a Gantt chart.
