Customizing Limitations for Web Client

Information

Below you will find a list of functions which are not yet or only partially available for the current Web Client. Only the most important functions are listed. The list is updated continuously. Implemented functions are removed from the list.

Functions not yet available	Comment
"waiting spinner" function	The corresponding text is initially written in the status line
Copy via Drag&Drop	Currently, it is only possible to copy or move entire records. The field to field, field to column, and column to column copy types are currently not available.
WBS layout	The WBS module is not available.
PDF export
Excel export	Implemented with Web Client 3.0.10. The corresponding menu item is available by default from DB 39.5.23 or can be included individually in earlier DB versions via customizing.
PowerPoint export	When clicking on the Execute Export to Microsoft PowerPoint button, a dialog message with the corresponding information is displayed. As a result, the user has the option to switch to the Desktop Client.

PLANTA themes in Web Client
Insert/change profile pictures	Implemented with Web Client 3.3.0.
E-mail dispatch by clicking on the stored e-mail address
Subproject capability	When opening the Subprojects module, a dialog message containing the respective information is displayed. As a result, the user has the option to switch to the Desktop Client.
Move columns / adjust column width in table views	Implemented with Web Client 3.4.3.

Limited functions	Comment
Hyperlinks	Only database-based links are supported
Menu Items	Certain menu items from the Desktop Client are not available in the Web Client.

Iron Python integration

E.g. ClientCSVModule or Visifire charts. The charts in the standard modules have already been replaced by PLANTA.

If individual Visifire charts are available in your system, you must also convert them using the PLANTA Chart Customizer. If you have any questions, please contact your PLANTA consultant or see under Chart Customizing.

The mechanism that exists in the Desktop Client does not exist in the Web Client. Printing is only possible via the browser.
