PLANTA link role → PLANTA pulse interfaces → User Synchronization
Information
In this module you can
create (synchronize) PLANTA project users in PLANTA pulse if they are not yet available in PLANTA pulse or
Link PLANTA project users to those in PLANTA pulse.
Notes
Users are synchronized/linked initially via their e-mail addresses. Later changes are synchronized via the ID.
When linking the existing user, you have to make sure that the e-mail addresses in PLANTA project are written in lower case since in PLANTA pulse the e-mail addresses are written in lower case.
User synchronization is one of the requirements for the operation of PLANTA Hybrid. However, for the synchronization itself, settings must be made in the PLANTA project system on the part of the server (in the web.conf).
Go to the web.conf and configure the following server parameters for the PLANTA project system which is to communicate with PLANTA pulse :
generic_service - must be activated (true)
generic_service_interface - must be configured if necessary
generic_service_port - must be configured
ssl_generic_enable - must be activated (true) if you want to run PLANTA pulse on HTTPS.
apikey_auth_filter_generic - must be deactivated (false) because PLANTA pulse does not autenticate itself to web interfaces.
After you have configured the parameter you have to restart the server.
Procedure
In the Unsynchronized users area, all users from PLANTA project are displayed.
If you want to create these users in PLANTA pulse, click on the Synchronize button.
Only those users who have an e-mail address in PLANTA project are synchronized with PLANTA pulse.
If the same users already exist in both systems, click on the Link users button.
Only users which have the same e-mail address are linked.
As soon as the synchronization/linking is completed, all synchronized/linked users in the Synchronized users area and the unsynchronized/unlinked users remain in the Unsynchronized users area.
Details
If the names or e-mail addresses of synchronized users in PLANTA project change, you have to click on the Refresh button in the Synchronized users area. The corresponding user data in PLANTA pulse is updated.
If user synchronization fails, the Pending Configurations module is displayed at the bottom margin, in which the log file can be opened by opening the context menu on the respective configuration and the cause of failure can be checked.
New users are created with "Admin = No" setting in PLANTA pulse.
For existing users, the admin setting from PLANTA pulse is retained.
