Information

  • Below you will find information on the installation/configuration of PLANTA Hybrid systems (project + pulse).
  • Information on How to use PLANTA Hybrid can be found in the PLANTA project/portfolio help area.

PLANTA Hybrid combines two PLANTA components: the agile PLANTA pulse component and the traditional PLANTA project component. This connection (via PLANTA Hybrid), which enables synchronization of the data of both systems, allows you to benefit from the advantages of both agile and classical project management in project planning and controlling.

Requirements

The following requirements apply to the use of PLANTA Hybrid:

  • PLANTA project must be installed (at least DB 39.5.11). For information on the installation, see here.
  • PLANTA pulse must be installed. For information on the installation, see here.
  • PLANTA project and PLANTA pulse must be linked. For further information, please refer to the "Settings" chapter.
  • In addition, PLANTA link must be licensed.

Settings

The following settings are required to make PLANTA hybrid (the linkage of PLANTA project and PLANTA pulse) ready for use:

  • PLANTA project Server

Go to the web.conf and configure the following server parameters for the PLANTA project system which is to communicate with PLANTA pulse :

  • generic_service - must be activated (true)
  • generic_service_interface - must be configured if necessary
  • generic_service_port - must be configured
  • ssl_generic_enable - must be activated (true) if you want to run PLANTA pulse on HTTPS.
  • apikey_auth_filter_generic - must be deactivated (false) because PLANTA pulse does not autenticate itself to web interfaces.
  • After you have configured the parameter you have to restart the server.

  • PLANTA link
    • In the PLANTA pulse and PLANTA Hybrid Parameters module, define the
      • parameters required for hybrid, e.g. APU-URL, API-Token, etc. in the General Settings (pulse).
      • Store interfaces in the Hybrid interface (pulse) and User synchronization (pulse) areas.  In the PLANTA standard, all required standard interfaces are already stored by default.
    • Synchronize or link PLANTA project and PLANTA pulse users in the User Synchronization module.
    • Since PLANTA hybrid is based on web interfaces, please also refer to Web Interface Configuration.

The following settings are particularly required for time recording in PLANTA hybrid.

  • PLANTA project
    • Since pulse allows multiple postings per day as well, the Time recording variant parameter must be set = 3 to enable multiple hour postings per day in PLANTA project.
    • If Stornobuchungen (automatic or manual) are to be used, server version 39.5.29 stable 3 is required as a minimum.
      • Automatic reverse postings are activated in PLANTA project by default.
  • PLANTA pulse (if you want to use extended time recording)
    • Under Time Recording you have to
      • activate the Activate time recording on PLANTA project elements parameter and
      • configure the Protocol, Port, and Host parameters.
        • Please contact your PLANTA consultant if you want to use this time recording option.

Notes

  • If you have set-up PLANTA pulse with a self-signed certificate, you have to additionally deactivate the global Activate SSL valifdation parameter.
