Client installation

Information

• The PLANTA Windows Client is not part of the PLANTA project container delivery. It is installed and updated separately.

Procedure

• You can install and update the PLANTA client in the following ways

  • 1: Installation and update via the PLANTAClientInstaller. It is available on the PLANTA Transfer Server by unpacking the respective Client download folder (Release_Installer subfolder).

  • 2: Manually by exchanging the entire client directory. The files with the new client version are available on the PLANTA Transfer Server by unzipping the new client download folder (Release subdirectory).

    • After the installation is completed, individual IronPython files must subsequently be adopted from the backup. Adjusted standard Iron Python files must be leveled with the new standard Iron Python files.

• The client is connected to the corresponding system via the gui__port environment variable of the server.
