Container Release (from 39.5.24)

The release notes published on this page apply to the component version of the PLANTA software from 39.5.24 (first container release).

General Information on System Components and Versions

PLANTA project is a container-based application PLANTA updates and publishes the individual container components manager, worker, customizing, webclient and the PLANTA desktop client (Windows client) independently of each other. There may, however, be dependencies between individual versions of different components. The dependencies are specified on the respective Release Notes pages.

• On this page, the components are specified individually with their respective versions according to the following schema: [component code] [release].

  • Caution: The two server components manager and worker can be identified by the abbreviation S, the customizing component by the abbreviation DB.

• In the PLANTA project documentation, only the customizing/database version is specified, since it is this component that primarily determines the presence and behavior of the application functions. If particular functions stem from client, web client, or server versions, they will be integrated in the documentation of the respective product version and be explicitly identified in the corresponding product release notes.

• The individual versions build on each other, so each successor version contains all the features and bug fixes of the previous versions.

Information on the component versions deployed in your system can be found in system information which can be retrieved via the ? → System information or via CTRL+B. You can find out which Web Client version you are using via the tooltip on the PLANTA logo at the bottom of the user menu.

• The images for container components are available in the PLANTA Registry under https://registry.planta.services. The login data will be sent to you by PLANTA upon request. See also Login PLANTA OCI Registry .

• The PLANTA desktop client is available for download on the PLANTA Transfer Server. In order to download the program files, you will need your PLANTA Transfer Server access data.

Current Version

The versioning scheme for the two server components, manager and worker, was changed with the first container release, so that versioning now starts at 38.0.0.
