Information

• For a direct update from DB 16 (formerly 39.5.16) to DB 26.1.0, the migration packages SetDefaultProjectPicture and UnloadAndReplan may fail on the first run. In this case, the migration packages must be executed again. Alternatively, the update can be performed step by step via intermediate versions.

• The update to database DB 26.1.0 absolutely requires also updating the server to at least version S 39.1.1 and the client to at least version C 5.34.6.

Special System Requirements for Release DB 26

Please note: For the installation / operation of database version 26 or for any update to this version, an OCI-compatible container runtime or platform, e.g. Docker, is required, as PLANTA provides all of its software components (exception: Desktop Client) as container images. General Notes on Update to DB 26

Information

• A direct update to version DB 26 is possible from source version DB 16 (formerly 39.5.16) or higher. If you use an earlier version, you first have to update to version DB 16 and subsequently to version DB 26. 

• In DB 18 (formerly 39.5.18), the outdated SAP library "pysapnwrfc" has been replaced by the "pyrfc" library. When updating from versions < DB 18, the affected SAP interfaces must be adjusted. For further information on the integration of PLANTA Project and SAP, see here.

• If you work with hybrid PLANTA systems, please note that version DB 26 requires the Pulse component at least from version 44.0.

• Since release DB 17 (formerly 39.5.17), PLANTA offers a new Online Help. If you update from a release < DB 17 and want to continue using context-sensitive help directly from within your system (F1/F2), or if your firewall only permits limited Internet access, you have to make sure that the PLANTA application server has at least access to the IP address: 3.65.222.100.
