Access
- Customizer → Module Customizer → Data Areas
- Customizer → Module Customizer → Modules → Click on the link on the name of the required data area
- Customizer → System Customizer → Data Dictionary → click on the link on the UF DF or UF DDI fields
- Tools menu item → Edit current data area → Data Areas
- CTRL+F3
In this module it is possible to
- create data areas
- edit data area parameters
- delete data areas
- assign data fields
- edit data field parameters
Check data area use
- The Check use entry in the context menu which is displayed when you right-click on a data area provides a means to check the use of the data area.
- When you select the command, a dialog message will be displayed asking you to select the area to be checked for use.
- Afterwards, the respective data will be opened in the Object Use module.
Context menu on a data item
- By right-clicking on a data item
- and selecting the Edit data item command, the Data Items module will be opened, in which the selected data item can be edited.
- to which a listbox module is assigned in the LBMOD field and selecting the Edit LB command, the Modules module will be opened, in which the selected listbox module is displayed automatically for editing.
- to which a macro is assigned in the Action ID field,
- and selecting the Edit macro command, the respective macro will be opened in the Python Macros module and can be edited.
- and selecting the Edit macro module command, the respective macro will be opened and can be edited.
- to which a listbox module is assigned in the Effect ID field and selecting the Edit effectcommand, the Effects module will be opened, in which the selected listbox module is displayed automatically for editing.
- to which a listbox module is assigned in the Format ID field and selecting the Edit format command, the Formats module will be opened, in which the selected listbox module is displayed automatically for editing.
- to which a symbol is assigned in the Symbol ID or Hdg symbol ID fields and selecting the Edit symbol command, the Symbols module will be opened in which the selected effect is displayed automatically for editing.
- If the module to be opened is already opened in a panel, it will not be opened a second time but the record ill be displayed additionally in the one that has already been opened.
Note
- A data area must contain at least one data field, otherwise the following error message will appear when the module is opened: MC: data areas/fields not found.
- In the Standard, the data field records are multiline records. If you delete one of the associated lines (e.g. the line with the Data Field Configuration, the complete data field record will be deleted.
- Data areas with a DDI from DT400 Miscellaneous objects are only permitted for:
