Information

In the Send Info module, a PLANTA project user can write and send messages to another PLANTA project user.

Where can I find the module in the application?

Project panel (Proposal, Program) → Project Core Data → Send info context menu command in the Stakeholder area → Send Info
Project panel (Idea, Proposal) → Process Status → Send as info context menu command → Send Info
Multi-Project Management (Project Management, Resource Management) → Reports → Project Overviews → Critical Projects → Message to project manager button → Send Info

Send Information

Enter a name in the Title field and the message text in the Text field (white field below the yellow bar).
- By default, the Title field is either filled with the name of the module (e.g. if the info is sent from the Process Status module) or with the following string: -Please enter a subject-
Reselect the Recipient if necessary.
Click on the Send button.

Notes

To use e-mail dispatch directly in PLANTA, you have to make sure that
- the e-mail addresses of all PLANTA persons concerned (sender and recipient) are specified in the E-mail field in the Persons module.
- the specified e-mail address is correct. E-mail addresses are not validated in PLANTA project, so in case you enter a wrong address, the recipient will not receive the e-mail.
- the global parameters required for e-mail dispatch are set in the Global Settings module.
