Information

  • The module provides an overview of all master milestones and milestones of the selected program and its projects.
  • You also have the option to define one of the program master milestones displayed here as a main milestone.
    • Main milestones are used as reference points for the interval calculation of the master milestones to the other master milestones.

Details

  • Summary tasks (phases), milestones, and master milestones are displayed graphically as a bar chart and master milestones are additionally displayed as gates on a horizontal axis directly below the time scale.
  • On each master milestone symbol, the WBS code of the master milestone and the time interval to the main milestone date are specified (in weeks).
  • The calculated duration (Calc. start to Calc. end)
    • of the program is visualized by a dotted frame
    • of projects is visualized by a bar in the color of the project code.

A gate is a master milestone of the planning objects.
without delay means: Total float >= 0
With delay means: Total float < 0

Gates are only displayed in the Schedule module if the Schedule with gates checkbox has been activated in the Project Core Data module in the core data module of the respective planning object

calculated datesThe color of the bar is determined by the code of the planning object.

Calc. start and Calc. end are calculated by clicking on the

Calculated schedule menu item button.
The code of the planning objects is defined and changed in the Edit Planning Objects module (the code of projects and proposals can also be defined and changed in the Project Core Data and Proposal Core Data modules.

Calculated dates of the summary tasks A summary task is a task in the structured schedule consisting of sub-tasks which are summarized here. Information on the summary task, such as duration and dates, is determined automatically from the sub-tasks.
